About 25th Polychar
The Local Organizing Committee invites you to join us at the 25th Annual World Forum on Advanced Materials (POLYCHAR 25) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on October 9 – 13, 2017. POLYCHAR 25 will be hosted by the Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM), or the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry.
POLYCHAR 25 follows a large number of PolyChar conferences that have come before it and have established a measure of excellence and a special culture of friendship and collaboration for this forum. The conference sets its mark in all parts of the work for students and scientists from all parts of the world to have a chance to participate at least occasionally. The conferences POLYCHAR 1 up to POLYCHAR 11 were held in the USA, POLYCHAR 12 in Portugal, POLYCHAR 13 in Singapore, POLYCHAR 14 in Japan, POLYCHAR 15 in Brazil, POLYCHAR 16 in India, POLYCHAR 17 in France, POLYCHAR 18 in Germany, POLYCHAR 19 in Nepal, POLYCHAR 20 in Croatia, POLYCHAR 21 in South Korea, POLYCHAR 22 in South Africa, POLYCHAR 23 in USA and POLYCHAR 24 in Poland. Now POLYCHAR 25 is coming to Malaysia for the first time giving opportunity to students and young scientists from Asia, in particular neighbouring ASEAN countries, but also from other parts of the world.
POLYCHAR conferences offer eminent setting for presentation and discussion of polymer characterization, properties, synthesis, processing and manufacturing of polymeric materials. POLYCHAR 25 hopes to provide the participants with an exciting range of presentations in these areas, and provide the opportunity for professors, PhD students, students and people from industry to meet and discuss with experts in their fields. In addition, POLYCHAR is the event where the Flory Prize is presented to a distinguished researcher in the area. The conference also has a strong tradition of promoting students and young investigators through prizes and awards
POLYCHAR 25 will be held at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is a multiracial, multicultural and cosmopolitan city with modern infrastructure and facilities. It is accessible from numerous airports worldwide and PWTC is only 65 km away from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
On behalf of IKM, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary, I would like to invite you to participate in the next POLYCHAR meeting in 2017.
