ISQua is The International Society for Quality in Health Care (We are a global organisation and our origins date back to 1985)

ISQua’s mission is to:

• To inspire and drive improvement in the quality and safety of healthcare worldwide through education and knowledge sharing, external evaluation, supporting health systems and connecting people through global networks.

We achieve this in a number of ways through a network that spans 100 countries and five continents;

• Whatever your level of involvement in health care, as an individual or as an institution, joining our global network will help you to achieve your goals; and whatever your health care role, be it as a clinician, manager, policy maker, academic or other, if your remit is quality and safety then we offer a supportive, professional environment to help you perform more effectively.
• We are a truly global body, with five out of six continents represented on ISQua’s ten-person Board. The expertise of ISQua and its network of members is a highly valued resource by those in the medical and social care community.
• Our network also develops partnerships which improve the delivery of health care for patients, their families and the organisations administering that care. One of our key partners is the World Health Organisation (WHO) and we assist with technical and policy advice as well as knowledge sharing as part of WHO initiatives.
• ISQua’s professional development education programme, was expanded considerably in 2012. This includes talks, debates, online workshops and webinars in all areas of health care safety and quality, as well as our flagship Fellowship programme.

Additionally, ISQua is involved in the accreditation of national and regional health care facilities worldwide via our International Accreditation Programme. We are responsible for assessing the standards of organisations who set the benchmarks in healthcare safety and quality and we are the only organisation that specifically uses health and social care standards.
