We are proud to announce the 4th edition of Route 68 Challenge for 2018. This race course traverses through the beautiful and scenic landscape of remote Gombak. The route will start and end at an orang asli settlement, winding through hilly roads surrounded by lush green forests - promising to bring you some of the most unique ultramarathon race experience. Runners challenging this exciting new road race will come face to face against a formidable route with an elevation gain of 1,900 m and a competitive cut off time.

RACE PARTICIPATION
The race is open to all men and women of all nationalities aged 18 years and above on race day.
Runners DO NOT need to complete any road race prior to joining this event. However, the organizers would like to caution all participants that an ultramarathon is not easy, and recommends that you should have completed some long distance road races in order to be well prepared for this event.
RACE FORMAT
All runners will start and finish at Dewan Serbaguna Komuniti Orang Asli (Orang Asli Community Multi Purpose Hall) at Km. 24 Gombak.
168KM PARTICIPANTS
This is a brand new category for the event. Participants of the 168km category will do 2 loops of the entire race course of 84km. A single 84km loop will cover 8 waterstations before U-turning at waterstation A8 located in The Waterway Villa, covering approximately 42km one way. At The Waterway Villa station (A8) you will be allowed access to your drop bag. You will then take the same route back towards the Multi Purpose Hall before heading out for the second loop. You have access to your second drop bag at Multi Purpose Hall event site. Total elevation for 168km runners is about 4000m gain.
84KM PARTICIPANTS
You will be participating in a brand new distance for 2017 replacing the previously very popular 70km category. You'll make your way through 8 waterstations before U-turning at waterstation A8 located in The Waterway Villa, covering approximately 42km one way. You will then take the same route back towards the Multi Purpose Hall and finish the race there. Total elevation for 84km runners is about 2000m gain.
50KM PARTICIPANTS
You will be making your way through 5 waterstations before U-turning at waterstation A5, covering approximately 25km one way. You will then take the same route back towards the Multi Purpose Hall and finish the race there. Total elevation for 50km runners is about 1600m gain.
**You have to cross the finish line within your respective categories' cut off time to be a finisher of the race.

- All runners must carry all mandatory gears at all times. The organizers and volunteers have the right to perform random gear checks on any participants at any point of the race. Should a runner be found without the possession of a mandatory gear, he/she will not be allowed to continue on the course until a suitable replacement gear is found.

Bus transportation service is available for participants on race day.
Two-way transportation fee: RM 30 per participant
Pre-race departure: 2:00am @ 28/4/2018 for 168km / 2:00pm @ 28/4/2018 for 84km / 2:00am @ 29/4/2018 for 50km
Pick-up location: NU Sentral. Under pedestrian bridge in front of mall.
Post-race departure: 29/4/2018 (Sunday) start from 9am - 2pm
Arrival location: NU Sentral. Under pedestrian bridge in front of mall.
We urge all participants to use this bus transport service as we expect heavy build-up of traffic on race day due to:
- Single lane roads leading into race site
- Parking spaces limited to approximately 50-100 cars at the site
Kindly note that the bus leaves the race site back to NU Sentral once it fills up and departure time may vary with the crowd we have this year. Do check with the Race Secretariat counter for update on departure times during race day.
