MYNIC MYBUDDIES RUN aims to unite Malaysians from all walks of life in the spirit of patriotism and togetherness on the same track. One of the most anticipated running event of the year, MYNIC MYBUDDIES RUN will instill your love towards nation and foster solidarity through healthy lifestyle.

MYNIC MYBUDDIES RUN is also one of the official 2018 National Day celebration event organized by MYNIC, an agency under the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia Malaysia (KKMM). We proudly present our annual landmark event which is entering its 5th edition after tremendous success from the previous years.

This year, MYNIC MYBUDDIES RUN will be held on 12 August 2018 at MAEPS, Serdang - amidst the lush greenery and challenging route, set to gather all runners from all ages and background. So register now, mark your date and be ready!

Important Notice

• Participants are advised to read the following Important Notice, Terms & Conditions and Official Rules carefully before the race.
• Participants are advised to solicit medical advice from a doctor if they are in doubt of their health condition prior to taking part in the race.
• The following Terms & Conditions and Official Rules are intended to help produce and direct a large scale event, to ensure the safety of all participants and to meet the requirements of any local government permits required.
• All entry fees are non-refundable and the Organizer retains the right to refuse entry to anyone declaring false information on their entry form, not making the required payment or fail to meet the stated entry requirements.

Registration

1. MYBUDDIES Run is open for all Malaysian citizen including Permanent Residents. 
2. All participants must submit their entries and make the required payment online through the www.mybuddies.my.
3. All entries are based on a 1st-come-1st-serve basis unless otherwise stated.
4. The Organizer reserves the right to contact and to interview applicants by phone or through any other form of communication if any additional information is required for matters relating to their application.
5. Fee includes race kit, insurance coverage and 6% GST.
6. Additional 5% service charge from the total price will be imposed for each registration.

Official Rules

• Once registration is completed and payment has been made, registration fees paid by those who for whatever reason/s do not take part in the run are NON-TRANSFERABLE, NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-DEFERRABLE.
• Upon confirmation of participation, any request to change category or other details will not be entertained.
• The organizer reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without prior notice and reason.
• The Organizer reserves the right to close entries before the deadline date without giving any notice or when the required quota for the MYBUDDIES Run has been fulfilled.
• Successful participants MUST collect their race bib number, race shirt and souvenirs (“Race Kit”) (in person or through an authorized person) by presenting the copy of Official Receipt and Identity Card or passport.
• Race entry is non-transferable. Those who are found running with an unauthorized race number/bib will be disqualified.
• The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify or exclude any person from competition who gives incorrect personal data / details on the entry form, or who is suspected of having taken banned substances. No refund of entry fee will be arranged.
• Participants who do not start according to the race time assigned to them by the Organizer are not entitled to the results of the race.
• Participants must retire from the race immediately, if asked / requested to do so by any member of the officials, medical staff, race director, umpire and / or security officers / marshals.
• No pets or any form of wheel-run objects of transport, e.g. wheel chairs (except designated wheelchairs for the Wheelchair events approved by the organizer), bicycles, skates, push carts, shoes with built-in or attached rollers, etc. are allowed on the course.
• MYNIC’s decisions in any matter in relation to MYBUDDIES RUN prizes shall be final, conclusive and not subject to any review. Any request for appeal and review shall not be entertained.
• The organizer and its representative shall not be held responsible for injury, death, damage, loss, delay, cost, expense, or inconvenience before, during or after the race.
• Should the event be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, thunder storm or disaster, public rally), no refund of the entry fee will be made and the Organizer shall have no further responsibility and/or liability during or thereafter.
• Running is not a ‘free risk’ sport and therefore each runner must ensure his/her health condition is fit before participating and during the race.Each runner shall be responsible for his/her own health/condition.
• The Organizer reserves the right to disallow/ disqualify any person who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event.
• The Organizer may perform drug test on any of the participants. All prize money to the winner is subject to the completion of doping test if required by the Organizer. The title shall be revoked if the winner fails to satisfy the doping test.
• Children under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by their parents or guardians before, during or after the race.  

Course Monitoring

1. Any participants who refuses to obey the directions, order or instruction of the event official, umpire or marshal (collectively “Officials”), or who conducts himself/herself in an unsportsmanlike manner, or who is offensive by action or language to Officials, volunteers, participants or spectators may be disqualified from the event by the Officials.
2. Any participant who has been found by a course marshal, event official or surveillance equipment to have gained an unfair advantage by intentionally shortening the route of the race (“cutting the course”) shall be immediately disqualified from the event.
3. Any person who participates in the race without a current official event bib number not officially assigned to him/her by the Organizer is subject to removal and disqualification from the race. Participants must at all material time pun on the official bib at the front side of his/her shirt.
4. No person is authorized to be on the course unless they are registered participants or approved personnel by the Organizer. Therefore, no person shall be allowed to accompany a participant if he/she is not registered in the event nor has been approved by the Organizer.

Pictures and Documentation

The Organizer shall be entitled to use any pictures and/or documentations of the Participants taken during the event for purposes related with the MYBUDDIES Run / Products & Services of MYNIC Berhad or any future events. Winners of MYBUDDIES Run agree to participate in interview sessions or for any other promotional sessions arranged by MYNIC.  

Amendments / Reservations / Acknowledgment

1. The Organizer reserves the right, to modify, supplement or waive all or part of the event rules.
2. Participants shall be bound by any such modification or supplemental event rules as may be published by the Organizer from time to time.
3. Failure to follow these event rules, as may be amended, will result in immediate disqualification, loss of prize money and removal from official results.
