6 June 2018, Kuala Lumpur – Nineties Irish boy band BOYZONE unveiled their new world tour to celebrate 25 years as band. And for the first time ever, the foursome will step foot in Malaysia to perform a full concert!
But what comes as an unexpected surprise is that this first-evertour in Malaysia will also mark the last tour as the band have announced that their next album, dedicated to the memory of former member Stephen Gately, will be their last and their 25th anniversary tour will be their farewell tour.
The foursome namely Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy revealed that the decision to part way was agonizing but they will remain as close friends and support each other’s solo activities. The news is surely sentimental for loyal fans but it is also being said that the final tour is a show not to miss.
BOYZONE burst onto the music scene in 1993, making waves with their catchy songs and ever-enthusiastic dance. During their time in the charts, they scored eighteen top ten hits in the Official UK Chart with six UK hit singles – making them the second biggest boy band after Take That.
Over the course of 25 years together, the band have achieved international fame and had a long string of hit singles, including Picture of You, Words, Baby Can I Hold You Tonight, Everyday I Love You, Father and Son and No Matter What.
