Introduction of JCI

Junior Chamber International (JCI) is a non-profit international non- governmental organization.

JCI United Penang is a non-profit youth leadership development organization affiliated to JCI Malaysia. The organization’s objective is to contribute to the advancement of the global community by providing opportunities for young people to develop their leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change. We are creative and bold leaders between 18 – 40 years old representing countless occupations. We develop new skills while contributing to our communities, laying new foundation and establishing new business and social network. 

Introduction of Love Run

This Love Run is hosted by JCI United Penang.  The main objective of this run is  tocreate public awareness to Gan En Zhi Jia. Gan En Zhi Jia is a non-profit organization of home for senior citizen, dealing immediate with service in social charity. This run is very meaningful as participants will having the chance to enjoy the games of Dementia Simulation hence to understand the difficulties that faced by old folks and give them more love, care and support. The route length of this run is 3km.

Objectives of this Love Run

1. Create public awareness to Gan En Zhi Jia
2. Funding of daily expenses for Gan En Zhi Jia
3. Let participants to get more understanding on Alzheimer’s disease
4. To encourage public to give more love, care and support to old folks
5. Enhance team working spirit among committees
6. Increase leadership skills and capabilities of committees

Target Participants 

This event primary target Malaysians age of 6 years old and above.

For participants 18 years and over: By completing the entry form, I certify I have read and accept the terms and conditions for participation in this event.

For participants under 18 years:  By completing the entry form, I certify I am the parent/ guardian of this entrant who is under 18 years and I give my consent for them to participate in this event.  I accept the terms and conditions for participation in this event on behalf of the entrant and declare them as capable of completing the event they have entered.

Terms and Conditions

1. The Organizer reserves the right to close entries before the deadline without any notice once the race quota is full.
2. Entry forms will only be processed upon receipt of full payment of entry fee.
3. The Organizer reserves the right to limit and refuse entries without reason.
4. The Organizer reserves the right to contact and to interview applicants by phone or otherwise for additional information required for matters relating to their applications.
5. Entry fees are non-refundable. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entries once the entry is accepted if any applicants provide false information, do not make the required payment, or fail to meet entry requirements as stated in the entry form.
6. Should the event be cancelled due to circumstances beyond the control of the Organizer (including heavy rain, thunder storm or disaster, public rally), no refund of the entry fee will be made and the Organizer shall have no further responsibility and/or liability thereafter.
7. Running is not a ‘free risk’ sport and therefore each runner must ensure his/her health condition is fit before participating and during the race.Each runner shall be responsible with his/her own health/condition. The Organizer shall be responsible for personal injury or death during or after the race due to gross negligence of the Organizer.
8. The Organizer reserves the right to disallow/ disqualify any person who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event. Should a runner get injured during the race, on case by case basis as recommended by medical team as appointed by the Organizer to monitor the race, such runner may be treated in hospital as designated by the Organizer with a treatment cost not exceeding the amount agreed by the Organizer and the relevant hospital. 
9. The organizer and its agents will not be held responsible for any issues relating to parking at the venue.  Participants are advised to follow the instructions given by traffic personnel for proper parking.  The organizer and its agents will not be held responsible due to losses suffered in the event of break ins or vandalism to the vehicles of participants.  Proper vigilance must be exercised by all participants when parking their vehicles.
10. Participants under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
11. The organizer and its agents not take any responsibility and are not liable to for any loss or damage to personal property left at the event area. Participants leave belongings at own risk.
