Women entrepreneurs are crucial as they tend to be more people-oriented and hence understand the intricacies of the market. As such in Africa and Asia at least, about 75% of women are in consumer-oriented sectors. These constitute industries in which women play a pivotal role as leading entrepreneurs, heads of corporations and senior management. What are these industries? What can be done to expand the sphere of influence of women in other industries? What can be the role of government agencies in allowing access for women in new industries?

The concept of blockchain and the myriad of cryptocurrencies that operate on it such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin to name a few, has caught the world by storm in the past few years.
