Event Description

Have you ever watched horses racing with total abandon and liberation in a track event and wondered what it might be like to run freely like them in a horse racing track? 

Your imagination is about to become a reality thanks to the Perak Equestrian Centre, which is organising the first ever running event at the prestigious Perak Turf Club, the only turf club in the world that is set against a dramatic backdrop of limestone karsts of the Kinta Valley. This unique setting will be open to the public for the first ever running event on 4 November, 2018. 

Organised by the Perak Equestrian Centre and working in collaboration with a team of avid runners, this Cross Country Running Festival will delight participants with the fabulous routes while raising funds for Noah's Ark Animal Welfare, an animal charity based in Ipoh. 

The carnival will comprise three events: the 4 x 3.9km competitive relay run; the 3.2km Charity Fun Run/Walk for all the family; and the 500m Kids' Dash.

Relay n Fun Run Walk (not Kids) now qualify for finishing medals

Collection of event packs 31st Oct (Thursday) - 3rd Nov (Sat) at the Perak Equestrian Centre 1030am -5pmIts 

Compulsory for participants to wear official t shirts.

Relay Event: 

(1) Each team comprises of 4 team members age above 18 years old, two of each must be female runners. Each runner must run 3.9km. Total distance = 15.6km (4 X 3.9 Km).

(2) Relay Team: First Runner = Male, Second Runner = Female, Third Runner = Female and Fourth Runner = Male.

(3) Each team will be given 4 colour t shirts, first runner to wear Blue, second runner to wear White and third runner to wear Pink and last runner to wear Black.

(4) One timing chip belt will be given to the team to record the total running time of the team. The timing belt will be passed on as baton during the Relay race. The change over will take place at the designated transition area.

(5) Prizes: Trophies for top 5 teams, Cash top 5. (RM500, 400, 300, 200, 100)

Fun Run/Walk

(6) Open to male and female age above 12 years old.

(7) Distance: 3.2km (1 loop)

(8) Prizes: Lucky draws.

Kids Dash

(9) Open to boys and girls age 12 years old and below.

(10) Distance: 500m
