Sarawak has seen rapid social -economic transformation and growth over the past 10 years. Sarawak is also well-positioned to be the Fulcrum for the East ASEAN Growth Area (EAGA) and can tap into growth opportunities in ASEAN with a stronger ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) emerging. The Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) and the Digital Economy thrust will continue to transform the Sarawak economy and propel is forward.

This International Conference on Sarawak and ASEAN will discuss the business and investment opportunities in Sarawak in this new era of a new Malaysia, post GE14. It will evaluate the key issues and strategic challenges facing the state and the new growth drivers. It will also look at Federal State relations in this new era of the Pakatan Harapan Government as Federal level and Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) at state level. What are the critical issues? What are the future directions? Will Sarawak continue to enjoy political stability, It’s mainstay for a long time? What are the risks of investing in the state?
