The purpose of this workshop is to share knowledge and inform parents, educators and practitioners in the field of Special
Educational Needs (SEN) on the most widely but also most commonly misunderstood scientific educational and behavioural

techniques developed and used from this scientific approach. Apart from that, we will also look into briefly on human cognition and
learning. Finally, we will briefly discuss on how the two varying schools of thoughts (behaviourism & cognitive) can be used in
assisting and guiding children with varying special educational needs. Thus, creating a more compassionate society towards those with
learning difficulty.
