Details

Penang Island Chorus's second concert this year is a celebration of musical theatre, past and present. The chorus, directed by Annie Chow and Dan Guerrard, will be performing a range of songs from some of the members' favourite musicals from the past 150 years.

The repertoire to be performed includes solos, trios, quartets, and of course full choruses from the Sound of Music, Carousel, Cabaret, Mary Poppins, My Fair Lady, Hairspray and more. There will also be some of our much-loved Gilbert and Sullivan favourites: The Pirates of Penzance, HMS Pinafore, The Mikado and Iolanthe.

Accompaniment will be provided by musicians from Penang Jazz Society and friends.

We do hope you will be able to join us at 3pm on Sunday 10th September. Audience participation is welcome, so you can even sing along with us!
