We conceptualised the theme “Heart Disease & Me” to evoke a more personal sentiment or proactive attitude towards heart disease. Each and every one of us is responsible for our own lives; we can in a way predict our future based on the actions of our present.

There is a well-known cliché – live each day as though it is your last on Earth. Well, whilst we may enjoy life to the fullest like there’s no tomorrow, our actions reap its according consequences. For heart disease, every little action counts toward the development of risk factors such as high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes and obesity.

“Heart Disease & Me” intends to act as a wake-up call for each of us and embodies the excruciating reality that heart disease is very often “impolite; it strikes anyone, at any age and at any time without discrimination.
