The Performers
Tan Jin Yin, a soprano, a graduate of Nanjing Normal University and University Sains Malaysia, has gained recognition in Malaysian and International Vocal Competitions. As a lecturer at Universiti Sains Malaysia with her position as the Artistic Director of Penang Philharmonic Chamber Choir, has been actively involved in both performing and Educating. Notable performances include Contemporary Opera “Malam Takdir” and “Endless Darkness.”
Lim Yee Fen, a mezzo-soprano and consecutive vocal competition champion, enchants Kuala Lumpur audiences with her performances. She's also a vocal coach, sharing her expertise in ensemble singing. A graduate of UCSI University, her melodious voice and teaching prowess shine in the classical music realm.
Wong Jun Wen, from Johor, studied with world-renowned tenor Robert Grayson at LSU and won accolades in singing competitions worldwide. His vibrant voice and stage presence have brought him international recognition. Notable achievements include creating roles in opera premieres and performing as a tenor soloist in prestigious events.
Baritone Louis Ong, a graduate of the University of Michigan, wins accolades from competitions, including the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in Michigan district. His versatility shines in more than ten operatic roles, from Puccini to Mozart. Last year, Louis debuted in Esplanade Singapore with a captivating recital.
Pianist, vocal coach and music educator Dr Bernard Tan graduated from England and the United States, and has since been active as a performer and educator internationally. He currently serves as a senior lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA, while busy engaging with masterclasses, workshops, and studio teaching around Malaysia and beyond.
