The second bi-annual Sarawak Timber & SME’s Expo 2015 organized jointly by Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (STIDC) and the Ministry of Industrial Development (MID) Sarawak will be held on 17 – 20 April 2015 at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), Kuching, Sarawak. The expo with a theme “Towards Sustainable Industries” will showcase a wide variety of timber and non-timber related products ranging from plywood, veneer, MDF, flooring to finished products such as furniture and doors produced by the local manufacturers. SME’s products on display will include the famous Sarawak layered cake, handicraft, food & beverages, oil & gas by-products, palm oil by-products and many more.

Due to the overwhelming response and success of the first ever organized “Sarawak Grand Timber Expo & Sarawak Small and Medium Enterprise Expo 2013”, this year’s expo is expected to attract higher rate of participation from exhibitors with availability of over 400 booths (domestic and international) and the number of visitors will reach to be about 10,000 visitors. There will be four Pavillions, comprising the Timber, the SMEs, the Furniture and the International Pavillion.

The exhibitors profile line-up will feature participations from suppliers and manufacturers from the timber industry, Sarawak Timber Association (STA), Sarawak Furniture Industry Association (SFIA), PUSAKA Furniture Vendors, Furniture Accessories, handicraft, food & beverages industry, among others.

The main focus and highlights of this year’s Expo will be the recreation of the House of Acacia and the introduction and the creation of the Bamboo Gallery.
