Borneo Bird Festival will be held at one of Sabah’s prime bird-watching spot, the Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), Sandakan. Known to be home to both endemic and non-endemic birds, this is an ideal place for both birders and photographers. There have been sightings of the elusive Borneo Bristlehead, the Red-bearded Bee-Eater and Diard’s Trogon in RDC. Activities such as; photography competition, bird race, guided bird walks as well as games for children will be held during this 2-day festival while promoting ecotourism and environmental conservation.
