About the Faisal Cup: The Faisal Cup began in 2007, inspired by the tragic passing of a student named Faisal, who drowned while retrieving a football from the Gombak River. This tournament was created to ensure that children from underprivileged backgrounds have safe and equal opportunities to play sports. It stands as a beacon of hope, peace, and dignity, ensuring that no child ever faces such a tragedy again.
Since its inception, over 10,911 children and youths from 1,434 teams across Klang Valley have participated. The tournament has even expanded to Penang and Johor, with 30 teams joining in 2019 and 2023.
This year (2024), we have 121 teams from 37 learning centres/schools participating. Preliminary rounds are on 8th and 15th June, with Quarter and Semi-Finals on 29th June.
Join us for this extraordinary event and be a part of a movement that champions "SPORTS FOR ALL."
