Sepilok Jazz Festival 2024 – Terms & Conditions
1. General Information
- The Sepilok Jazz Festival 2024 (hereafter referred to as "the Festival") is organized by Friends of Sea Turtle Education & Research and will be held on 6th & 7th September 2024 at Rainforest Discovery Centre, Sepilok, Sandakan.
- By purchasing a ticket or attending the Festival, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
2. Data Collection
- The Organizer may collect personal data such as names, email addresses, and contact numbers during the ticket purchase process or during the Festival.
- This data will be used for Event-related communications, marketing purposes, and improving future events.
- All data will be handled in accordance with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) 2010. You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data by contacting Aliza - +60 19-524 6507.
- By attending the Festival, you consent to the collection and use of your personal data as described.
3. Ticketing
- Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable, and must be presented at the entrance for admission.
- The Organizer reserves the right to refuse entry to any person without a valid ticket.
- Lost or stolen tickets will not be replaced.
- Ticket holders must be at least 18 years old, or be accompanied by an adult if under this age.
4. Entry and Attendance
- Gates will open at 6pm and close at 10pm. No entry will be permitted outside these hours.
- The Festival is a family-friendly event. However, parental discretion is advised due to the live music environment.
- Attendees must comply with all security and safety procedures, including bag checks and personal searches.
- The Organizer reserves the right to deny entry or remove any person who poses a threat to the safety of others or who fails to comply with Festival rules.
5. Code of Conduct
- All attendees are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner. Harassment, discrimination, or any form of disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
- The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited.
- Attendees must not bring any prohibited items, including but not limited to weapons, explosives, and illegal substances.
6. Photography and Media
- The Festival will be recorded, and photographs or videos may be taken by the Organizer for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to being photographed or filmed.
- Attendees are allowed to take personal photographs or videos, but commercial use of any content is prohibited without prior permission from the Organizer.
7. Liability
- The Organizer is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury sustained during the Festival, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
- Attendees are responsible for their own safety and for securing their personal belongings.
8. Force Majeure
- The Organizer reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or alter the Festival in the event of circumstances beyond their control, such as extreme weather, natural disasters, or other emergencies. In such cases, the Organizer will not be liable for any refunds or compensation.
9. Health and Safety
- Attendees are required to follow all health and safety guidelines as directed by the Organizer, including any COVID-19 related protocols.
- Failure to comply with health and safety guidelines may result in removal from the Festival without a refund.
10. Alcohol and Food
- Alcohol will be available for purchase for attendees aged 18 and over. Proof of age may be required.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted. There will be food and beverage vendors on site.
11. Amendments
- The Organizer reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated through official channels.
12. Governing Law
- These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
