Dress Code
We have no rules about dress. Please just use good judgment so that you don’t distract yourself or others, and don’t impede the view of others. And, please remember, you’ll be in close proximity to other audience members. Scents, such as perfumes, colognes and even hair sprays, may not only distract others, but may trigger significant allergic reactions.
Prepare
1. Arrive early. This allows everyone to be seated and comfortable on time.
2. Latecomers cannot be seated until there is a break in the performance. If you are late, ushers are just doing their jobs if they must ask you to wait.
3. Turn off your cell phone and any other electronic devices. Ring tones are not the only problem. Light and the motions of texting can distract other patrons and the performers. If you forget and your mobile rings during the performance, turn it off; do not answer. Please check for messages during the intermission. In addition, cell phones can interfere with the wireless technology is use in the theater … we’re pretty sure you don’t want your conversation with your dear Aunt Sadie broadcast over the theater’s PA system!
During performances
1. React to what’s happening on stage. Please feel free to have honest reactions to what is happening onstage. Please applaud and enjoy the performance.
2. Do not talk, whisper, sing, or hum during the performance. That will distract both other audience members and the actors.
3. Do not eat or drink during performances.
4. Do not litter. Volunteers prepare and clean our facility.
5. Whatever you bring into the theater, please take it out with you.
6. Absolutely no picture/video-taking or recording during performances.
7. We encourage you to share your experience via social media, but please refrain from gathering content or sharing during performances.
8. Need urgent assistance? If you need assistance during the show, please go to your nearest volunteer usher.
9. Please wait for the house lights to come up before leaving. This not only honors the performers, it’s just safer.
10. If your child becomes restless, frightened, or very loud, please take them to the lobby. Loud noise will travel into the theater.
11. Thank you for helping us achieve a great live theater experience for everyone!
