Terms and Conditions: Run For The Beat 2025
1. General
1.1 Run For The Beat 2025 is organized in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the event committee of KPJ Bandar Dato' Onn Specialist Hospital.
1.2 The Organizer reserves the right to use any photograph, motion picture, recording, or any other record of this event and its participants for legitimate purposes, including promotions, placements, and commercial advertising.
1.3 The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event without prior notification. Registration fees are non-refundable. By signing up for this event, participants consent to receive notifications of future events and product information via email.
2. Registration
2.1 Participants must meet the qualifying age to compete in the event:
2.1.1. 5KM Fun Run - 12 years old and above
2.2 Participants must meet the stipulated age by 31 December 2024 to qualify for the event.
2.3 Participants below the age of 18 must obtain parental or guardian consent.
2.4 Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
2.5 Registration will not be accepted after the closing date.
2.6 Race entry is non-transferable and non-refundable. Participants must ensure all registration details are accurate and up-to-date by Friday, 17 January 2025.
2.7 The Organizer reserves the right to close registration before the official closing date if the participation limit is reached.
2.8 Participants are responsible for ensuring complete and accurate registration details. The Organizer will not be liable for disputes arising from incomplete submissions.
2.9 Confirmation slips will be emailed to participants upon successful registration and payment. Each participant can only compete in a single category.
3. Race
3.1 While reasonable safety measures will be in place, participants run at their own risk. The Organizer is not liable for personal or material loss, damage, or injury.
3.2 Unattended bags may be removed for security reasons. The Organizer will not be responsible for lost or damaged belongings.
3.3 Participants must wear their assigned race bib on the front of their attire. Failure to do so may result in disqualification.
3.4 Participants must adhere to the rules and instructions provided by the Organizer and race marshals. Non-compliance may result in disqualification.
3.5 Latecomers will be given a grace period of 5 minutes after the race start. Arrival after this period will result in disqualification.
3.6 Road closures will be lifted 3 hours after the first flag-off. Participants must proceed on footpaths at their own risk. Unauthorized support vehicles and pacers are not permitted.
4. Race Pack Collection
4.1 Race packs, including t-shirts and drawstring bag, must be collected during the designated period, which will be announced closer to the event date.
4.2 Race packs will not be distributed on race day.
4.3 Participants must bring their confirmation slip or valid ID for verification during collection.
4.4 Authorized representatives may collect on behalf of participants with a completed authorization form, available on the event website.
5. Safety & Medical Advisory
5.1 Participants feeling unwell during the event should stop and seek medical attention from designated posts.
5.2 Participants are encouraged to gradually train for the event and ensure adequate rest and hydration before the race day.
5.3 Those with health concerns or on medication should consult a medical practitioner before participating.
5.4 Warm-up exercises of at least 15 minutes are recommended before and after the race. Participants should avoid alcohol, stimulants, or drugs within 24 hours of the event.
5.5 Insurance coverage will only be provided for registered participants aged 12 years to 60 years old.
6. Additional Provisions
6.1 The Organizer's decisions regarding all aspects of the event are final.
