Kampung Run 1.0 @ Mata Ayer Perlis
1. General
- Kampung Run 1.0 (2025) is organized in accordance with the regulations established by the event committee of Aqira Management and Services.
- The Organizer reserves the full rights to use photographs, videos, recordings, or any other documentation of the event and its participants for legitimate purposes, including promotions, media placements, and commercial advertising without requiring compensation or prior approval.
- Participants acknowledge that the personal information provided will be stored in the organizer’s database and participants gives full consent to the release of certain information, such as name, date of birth, home state, event results, career highlights, and interests, to the media upon request.
- The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event without prior notice. Registration fees are strictly non-refundable. By registering, participants agree to receive notifications about future events and product updates via email.
2. Registration
2.1 Participants must meet the following age requirements to qualify:
- 5KM Fun Run - Open
- 10KM Race – 13 years old and above
2.2 Eligibility is based on the participant’s age as of 31 December 2024.
2.3 Participants under 18 must secure parental or guardian consent.
2.4 Participants below the age of 13 must be accompanied by a registered adult.
2.5 Registrations submitted after the closing date will not be accepted.
2.6 Registration is non-transferable and non-refundable. All registration details must be accurate and finalized by Friday, 28 March 2025.
2.7 The Organizer may close registration prior to the official deadline if the participation limit is reached.
2.8 The responsibility for ensuring complete and accurate registration lies with the participants. The Organizer shall not be held accountable for issues arising from incomplete submissions.
2.9 Confirmation of registration will be sent via email upon successful payment. Each participant is allowed to register for one category only.
3. Race
3.1 Participants compete at their own risk, despite reasonable safety measures implemented by the Organizer. The Organizer is not liable for personal or property-related incidents. By participating in this event, participants accept all inherent risks associated with participation, including the possibility of loss of life or permanent injury. Therefore, participants agree not to hold liable any individuals or entities involved in organizing the event. This includes the event organizers, promoters, sponsors, managers, officers, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, medical personnel, and any other individuals appointed by the organizers. This release and indemnity agreement remains binding indefinitely and extends to my heirs, executors, personal representatives, and assignees.
3.2 Participants understand that the event carries a genuine risk of serious injury or death caused by factors such as overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, collisions with other participants, spectators, road users, or environmental conditions like weather and terrain.
3.3 Unattended bags may be removed for security reasons. The Organizer is not responsible for any lost or damaged items.
3.4 Race bibs must be prominently displayed on the front of participants’ attire. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.
3.5 Participants are required to adhere to all rules and instructions issued by the Organizer and race marshals. Non-compliance may lead to disqualification.
3.6 Latecomers will be allowed a grace period of 5 minutes after the race starts. Beyond this, they will be disqualified.
3.7 Road closures will be lifted 3 hours after the first flag-off. Participants proceeding afterward must use footpaths at their own risk. Unauthorized support vehicles and pacers are strictly prohibited.
4. Race Pack Collection
4.1 Race packs must be collected during the designated period, which will be announced closer to the event date.
4.2 Race packs will not be distributed on the race day.
4.3 Participants must present their confirmation slip or valid identification during collection.
4.4 Authorized representatives may collect race packs on behalf of participants by providing a completed authorization form, available on the event website.
5. Safety & Medical Advisory
5.1 Participants who feel unwell during the event are advised to seek medical attention at designated posts immediately.
5.2 Participants are encouraged to prepare adequately, train progressively, and ensure proper hydration and rest before race day.
5.3 Those with pre-existing medical conditions or on medication should consult a healthcare professional before participating.
5.4 Warm-up exercises of at least 15 minutes are recommended before and after the race. Participants should avoid alcohol, stimulants, or drugs within 24 hours before the event.
5.5 Participants acknowledge that parking vehicle is at their own risk, and the organizers are not responsible for any loss or damage to the vehicle.
6. Additional Provisions
6.1 The Organizer’s decisions regarding any aspect of the event are final and binding.
6.2 By registering, participants agree to comply fully with these terms and conditions.
