Perbadanan Kota Buku Book And Bazaar will be organized at Dataran Underground on 29th - 30th August 2015.

* ‘Buku dan Bazar’ is an event that gathers book lovers and enthusiasts through the current trends of music, shopping and community. ‘Buku dan Bazar’ or BDB is held on the last weekend of every month and welcomes entrepreneurs, hobbyists, performers, speakers, and talents or just people looking for something to fill their weekend. What sets ‘Buku dan Bazar’ different for vendors is that Kota Buku offers unlimited free booths.

* For our August edition, the event revolves around the theme of Merdeka where we appreciate the past sacrifices of those who have served our country that have made us strong Malaysians today. Also joining our celebrations are M. Nasir, Fynn Jamal, S.O.G and Pitahati. Besides that, our August edition will also feature the Highway Buskers, Haqqani Maulid Ensemble and Drum Simfoni; and a theatre performance of Uda & Dara the Musical by the Faculty of Film, Theatre and Animation of UiTM. Likewise, Usman Awang Enterprise will be setting up two booths and a café for visitors to take a break and unwind. They will select two poets will be delivering poetries by the late Usman Awang on the main stage.

* Furthermore, EnglishJer, a famous face from Twitter will be joining us as a speaker. EnglishJer, or EJ, is known for his laid-back approach in teaching basic English- all limited to 140 characters. EJ managed to gain followers and created a phenomenon that reassures netizens that the English language is not the enemy and our national language should not feel threatened by it. He will be sharing some of his personal experiences with his topic: “How My Parents Taught Me Everything.”
