1. Langkawi International Folding Bike Challenge 2025 ("LIFBC") ("Event") is organized by LTA Event Management ("Organizer"). Rules and Regulations, Exclusions, and all Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred as "T&C") applicable to riders, can be found in the next paragraph accessible at https://www.facebook.com/LIFBC2025 ("Social Site Official"). 


2. The Participant, as a person who has participated in the Event, is deemed to have given written consent to the Organizer for the Organizer to collect, analyze and collect personal information related to the rider. By completing the official entry form, including through online registration, the rider signifies his/her agreement to abide by these T&C. 


3. Participants agree that by providing personal information, participants allow the Organizer to process their personal information for any and/or all of the following purposes (“Purposes”), where applicable: i. administer the event and contact participants regarding matters thesame; ii. promotion, marketing and sales of the Promoter's products and/or services and its strategic alliances; or iii. other relevant and legitimate business purposes; 


4. Participants agree that the rider's personal information may be disclosed to other companies such as (which includes the parent company, subsidiaries and any associated companies), including any company as a result of any restructuring, merger, sale or acquisition), service providers , and vendors and any of their respective agents, servants and/or persons, whether located within or outside Malaysia for the Purposes, if applicable, subject at all times to any laws (including regulations, standards , guidelines and/or obligations) applicable to the Promoter. 


5. The Participant agrees that the Organizer needs to process the Participant's personal information for the Purpose, without which the Participant will not be able to participate in the Event. Participants may exercise their choice regarding receiving marketing materials (including promotional, marketing and sales such as described above) by contacting the Promoter via the Contact Details set out below. 


6. Photographs/images, motion pictures, recordings or any other records of participants in the Event may be recorded and may be used for the Organizer's publications, any commercial advertising or other promotional purposes, if applicable. 


7. The Participant may request correction, deletion or limitation of its processing at any time thereafter by submitting such request through the following Contact Details:

8. Participants agree to: 

a) provide true, accurate, up-to-date and complete information about participants recorded in the registration form ("Registration Data"); 

b) maintaining the security of passwords and participant identification; and 

c) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to ensure it is true, accurate, current and complete. The organizer may contact participants from time to time via email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organizer will be deemed received by the participant concerned.


9. Once registration has been completed, no refunds will be issued for any participant who does not participate in the Event, for any reason whatsoever. Registration is absolutely non-transferable. 


10.  The Promoter reserves the right to modify or replace any of these T&C from time to time. In the event of ambiguity in any of these provisions, the Organizer shall be the sole authority to interpret and in doing so, it may take into account the interests of all affected participants. Any amendments to these T&Cs will be updated on the Official Social Pages. 


11.  The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participants, in this case the Organizer will endeavor to inform the participants before the Event date. If the Event is forced to be cancelled, no refunds are paid. The organizer will not be responsible for any loss or inconvenience that may arise. 


12. The Organizer reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice to participants, to amend the Event's cycling route as deemed appropriate for participant safety and/or to avoid any potential hazards during the Event. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform participants prior to the date of the Event. The Organizer will not be responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused by such changes. 


13. For any registration on behalf of any primary member participant or online user account owner shall be fully responsible for informing each member of the Event T&C and shall be deemed to have obtained the approval of each member participant to accept the T&C on their behalf. Each member participant who has authorized this online registration by their friend is also deemed to have read and accepted the Event Terms & Conditions. 


14. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

a) When the participant has registered, this means that the participant agrees to accept the conditions below. To participate in this Event, participants must comply with the age requirements specified in their category. 

b) 65 KM – Endurance 

i) Open Men & Women (16 years old and above) 

c) 30 KM – Fun Ride 

i) Open Men & Women (12 years old and above) 

ii) Children 12 years old and above (need to fill in a permission indemnity form on the day of picking up the cycling kit)


15. EQUIPMENT AND AGE GROUPS 

a) 65 KM Endurance 

The 65 KM category is open to all, male or female. Participants must be 16 years of age or older on 31 December 2025. 

Amateur Category : Prohibited for Pro Rider, Elite Rider, Ex Pro, Ex National , Ex State, Podium Rider RB & MTB competitive race. 

b) 30 KM Fun Ride 

The 30 KM category is open to all, male or female. Participants must be 12 years of age or older on 31 December 2025. 

Riders under the age of 16 on 31 December 2025 are required to obtain parental / guardian permission and complete a declaration of damages form when picking up the cycling kit, failing which, the Organizer reserves the right to refuse participation. 

Open Category :  Open to all riders

16. Distances and durations stated for all cycling categories are estimates only. The organizer reserves the right to amend the distance and duration if circumstances require it. 


17. CYCLING EQUIPMENT / BICYCLE SPECIFICATION 

Endurance Race (65KM) 

a) ONLY ‘Folding Bike’ are allowed. Minivelo and BMX are NOT allowed.

b) Electric Bike/ E Bike/ Motorized bicycle is NOT allowed. 

c) There will be TWO Folding Bike categories will be contested 

1. 20inch – Tire size maximum 451 

2. 16inch – Tire size maximum 349 

d) The contestants are NOT allowed to change bicycle and rider during the race.

e) The contestants MUST use same bicycle specification as per registered category. Different specification/category will be disqualified.

f) The decisions by the Organizer for each category is final.

g) The organizer reserves right to exclude and/or disqualify participants that breach of the rules and regulation. Fun Ride (30KM) Organizer highly encourage participants to use Folding Bike. However, no restriction bicycle type for the fun ride. 


18. LUCKY DRAW PRIZES 

a) Total lucky draw prizes worth more than RM30K. The amount of the lucky draw can be reduced if the participation is less than 500 participants.

b) The organizer reserves the right to replace any raffle prize if found to be disqualified. 

c) The lucky draw prize winner must report to the secretariat counter at the venue. If the rider fails to do so, the Organizer may continue the raffle prize to the next entrant's raffle number.

d) All participants who win a prize must present their original identification document, such as an Identity Card or Passport, or a beep number to claim their prize. 

e) All prizes not claimed within two (2) weeks from the date of the Event will be forfeited and the Organizer will be free to redistribute or dispose of these proceeds as it sees fit. 

f) The prize must be taken, in the form as presented by the Organizer. It is non-transferable or exchangeable and subject to T&C as determined by the Promoter. 

g) “Gun Time” will determine the winners for all applicable categories.

h) All prize winners or potential prize winners who wish to appeal or dispute the decision must make such appeal on the site in person and in writing. Appeals must be received within 30 minutes of publishing the results on the board at the Event site, and must be accompanied by an appeal fee of RM100 in cash. Failing to do so, the Organizer reserves the right not to entertain any dispute or appeal thereafter. 

i) For all disputes regarding the results, the organizers and the decisions of the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (“MNCF”) are final and no other disputes will be entertained thereafter. 


19. CYCLING RULES 

a) Participants are NOT ALLOWED to transfer their cycling participation to another party once their registration is confirmed. 

b) All riders must start according to the allocated ring and group time. 

c) For security reasons, participants who do not start at their respective departure times, their participation may be canceled and they will not be allowed to participate in the race. 

d) All participants must follow the designated route, and are fully responsible for following the designated route and passing the mandatory time. 

e) Compulsory Time 

f) The route official will move participants who are not likely to finish the cycle within the specified period. The participants will be guided to the designated detour locations along the route. 

g) This is necessary for their own safety and to avoid being caught between live traffic, participants must follow the instructions. 

h) Participants who fail to do so may be removed from the route immediately. Finisher medals will not be awarded to the aforementioned riders. Participants of the competitive riding category will be recorded as ‘Disqualified’ or ‘DNF’ (Did Not Finish) in the official time. 

• 65KM cut off time is 4 hours 

• 30KM cut off time is 3 hours 

i) All participants must obey the standard Highway Code, national road regulations as well as the instructions of the police, marshals and event officials while cycling.

j) Participants are NOT ALLOWED 

1. Ride without a bicycle helmet 

2. Ride dangerously or carelessly; 

3. Use a handheld camera or phone while riding.

4. Child seats on bicycles are not allowed. 

k) All riders must be behind the lead safety escort vehicle and in front of the rear safety escort vehicle at all times. 

l ) No personal/team support car & motorbike during the race.

m) The event will take place regardless of inclement weather and will only be cancelled, re-routed or stopped in extreme circumstances for safety reasons. The final decision on this matter rests with the Organizer. 

n) All cycling kits not picked up on the designated kit pick-up day will be available for pick-up for 5 working days during working hours at the Organizer's office. After that, unclaimed cycling kits will be disposed of and no further collections will be allowed. 


20. ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS

a) All participants who successfully finish the cycle in their chosen category will be awarded a Finisher's Medal after showing their bike number to the staff at the finish line. 

b) All Finisher Medals will only be distributed on the day of the event. 

c) The timing device


21.SAFETY MEASURES 

a) Although appropriate measures will be taken by the Organizer to ensure the safety of the participants, the safety risk is the responsibility of the participants themselves. 

b) The Organizer shall not be responsible or liable for any injury or death whatsoever arising from training for or by participating in the Event.

c) Participants are strongly encouraged to consult their medical practitioner before registration and before the day of the Event. 

d) Competitors must wear the designated body number on the bottom of their cycling jersey. Participants found not wearing a body number will be asked to leave the cycle. 

e) All participants must check and service their bikes before the Event, and ensure that their bikes are safe to use before cycling. 

f) All Participants must always be aware of other participants around them. 

g) All Participants must stay on the left side of the road except when overtaking and are reminded to obey the rules of the road at all times. 

h) Cutting on the left is dangerous and NOT ALLOWED.

i) Participants must shout when passing other participants.


22.CYCLING SUPPORT VEHICLES

a) Organizers will provide cycling support vehicles to assist participants throughout the journey. 

b) Participants are not allowed to have their own vehicle support in the main peloton. 


23. EMERGENCIES & MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE 

a) Mobile mechanical services will also be provided to help participants' bicycles with problems while cycling and Medical Assistance will be provided throughout the Event. 

b) Participants MUST wear a bicycle number to be eligible to receive the assistance. 

c) Participants who need mechanical or medical assistance while on the route, can get help from cycling marshal, event marshal or traffic management staff. 

d) Medical personnel have the right to remove participants if they are found to be physically unable to continue cycling without the risk of serious injury to themselves or others.

e) The medical officer has the right to make an order to send the victim to the nearest and/or recommended hospital. 

f) The organizers suggest measures to reduce medical risks: 

i) Participants should drink plenty of fluids before, during and after cycling

ii) Participants who are over thirty-five (35) years old and who have not exercised regularly recently, strongly encouraged to undergo a health checkup before the Event; and 

iii) Conduct a proper training regime to prepare for the Event. 

g) All participants are covered under Personal Accident insurance 

i) This insurance coverage must start from the official start of the Event until the Event ends. 

ii) However, all riders are recommended to have their own personal accident insurance or health insurance. 


24. WEATHER POLICY 

a) The event will be held, rain or shine, unless the Organizer determines that the conditions are too dangerous. 

b) This will be based on a prudent decision made three (3) days before the day of the Event or on the day of the Event by the Organizer and local law enforcement officers. 

c) If the Event is canceled due to bad weather, there will be no refunds or transfers. 

d) In the event of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, the Organizer reserves the right to change, cancel or eliminate any / all parts of the Event. 


25. EVENT WAIVER

In consideration of the Organizer's acceptance of this entry, and registration to participate in this Event, the rider hereby waives and waives any and all rights to claim damages that the participant may have against the Organizer for holding this Event, their agents, representatives, successors, assignees, sponsors for any and all injuries, deaths and damages that participants may suffer before, during or after the event takes place or arise as a result thereof. Participants hereby indemnify the Organizer and ensure that they indemnify and waive all claims or damages arising out of the above.

c) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to ensure it is true, accurate, current and complete. The organizer may contact participants from time to time via email. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organizer will be deemed received by the participant concerned.


9. Once registration has been completed, no refunds will be issued for any participant who does not participate in the Event, for any reason whatsoever. Registration is absolutely non-transferable. 


10.  The Promoter reserves the right to modify or replace any of these T&C from time to time. In the event of ambiguity in any of these provisions, the Organizer shall be the sole authority to interpret and in doing so, it may take into account the interests of all affected participants. Any amendments to these T&Cs will be updated on the Official Social Pages. 


11.  The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participants, in this case the Organizer will endeavor to inform the participants before the Event date. If the Event is forced to be cancelled, no refunds are paid. The organizer will not be responsible for any loss or inconvenience that may arise. 


12. The Organizer reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice to participants, to amend the Event's cycling route as deemed appropriate for participant safety and/or to avoid any potential hazards during the Event. In such cases, every effort will be made to inform participants prior to the date of the Event. The Organizer will not be responsible for any loss or inconvenience caused by such changes. 


13. For any registration on behalf of any primary member participant or online user account owner shall be fully responsible for informing each member of the Event T&C and shall be deemed to have obtained the approval of each member participant to accept the T&C on their behalf. Each member participant who has authorized this online registration by their friend is also deemed to have read and accepted the Event Terms & Conditions. 


14. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

a) When the participant has registered, this means that the participant agrees to accept the conditions below. To participate in this Event, participants must comply with the age requirements specified in their category. 

b) 65 KM – Endurance 

i) Open Men & Women (16 years old and above) 

c) 30 KM – Fun Ride 

i) Open Men & Women (12 years old and above) 

ii) Children 12 years old and above (need to fill in a permission indemnity form on the day of picking up the cycling kit)


15. EQUIPMENT AND AGE GROUPS 

a) 65 KM Endurance 

The 65 KM category is open to all, male or female. Participants must be 16 years of age or older on 31 December 2025. 

Amateur Category : Prohibited for Pro Rider, Elite Rider, Ex Pro, Ex National , Ex State, Podium Rider RB & MTB competitive race. 

b) 30 KM Fun Ride 

The 30 KM category is open to all, male or female. Participants must be 12 years of age or older on 31 December 2025. 

Riders under the age of 16 on 31 December 2025 are required to obtain parental / guardian permission and complete a declaration of damages form when picking up the cycling kit, failing which, the Organizer reserves the right to refuse participation. 

Open Category :  Open to all riders

16. Distances and durations stated for all cycling categories are estimates only. The organizer reserves the right to amend the distance and duration if circumstances require it. 


17. CYCLING EQUIPMENT / BICYCLE SPECIFICATION 

Endurance Race (65KM) 

a) ONLY ‘Folding Bike’ are allowed. Minivelo and BMX are NOT allowed.

b) Electric Bike/ E Bike/ Motorized bicycle is NOT allowed. 

c) There will be TWO Folding Bike categories will be contested 

1. 20inch – Tire size maximum 451 

2. 16inch – Tire size maximum 349 

d) The contestants are NOT allowed to change bicycle and rider during the race.

e) The contestants MUST use same bicycle specification as per registered category. Different specification/category will be disqualified.

f) The decisions by the Organizer for each category is final.

g) The organizer reserves right to exclude and/or disqualify participants that breach of the rules and regulation. Fun Ride (30KM) Organizer highly encourage participants to use Folding Bike. However, no restriction bicycle type for the fun ride. 


18. LUCKY DRAW PRIZES 

a) Total lucky draw prizes worth more than RM30K. The amount of the lucky draw can be reduced if the participation is less than 500 participants.

b) The organizer reserves the right to replace any raffle prize if found to be disqualified. 

c) The lucky draw prize winner must report to the secretariat counter at the venue. If the rider fails to do so, the Organizer may continue the raffle prize to the next entrant's raffle number.

d) All participants who win a prize must present their original identification document, such as an Identity Card or Passport, or a beep number to claim their prize. 

e) All prizes not claimed within two (2) weeks from the date of the Event will be forfeited and the Organizer will be free to redistribute or dispose of these proceeds as it sees fit. 

f) The prize must be taken, in the form as presented by the Organizer. It is non-transferable or exchangeable and subject to T&C as determined by the Promoter. 

g) “Gun Time” will determine the winners for all applicable categories.

h) All prize winners or potential prize winners who wish to appeal or dispute the decision must make such appeal on the site in person and in writing. Appeals must be received within 30 minutes of publishing the results on the board at the Event site, and must be accompanied by an appeal fee of RM100 in cash. Failing to do so, the Organizer reserves the right not to entertain any dispute or appeal thereafter. 

i) For all disputes regarding the results, the organizers and the decisions of the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (“MNCF”) are final and no other disputes will be entertained thereafter. 


19. CYCLING RULES 

a) Participants are NOT ALLOWED to transfer their cycling participation to another party once their registration is confirmed. 

b) All riders must start according to the allocated ring and group time. 

c) For security reasons, participants who do not start at their respective departure times, their participation may be canceled and they will not be allowed to participate in the race. 

d) All participants must follow the designated route, and are fully responsible for following the designated route and passing the mandatory time. 

e) Compulsory Time 

f) The route official will move participants who are not likely to finish the cycle within the specified period. The participants will be guided to the designated detour locations along the route. 

g) This is necessary for their own safety and to avoid being caught between live traffic, participants must follow the instructions. 

h) Participants who fail to do so may be removed from the route immediately. Finisher medals will not be awarded to the aforementioned riders. Participants of the competitive riding category will be recorded as ‘Disqualified’ or ‘DNF’ (Did Not Finish) in the official time. 

• 65KM cut off time is 4 hours 

• 30KM cut off time is 3 hours 

i) All participants must obey the standard Highway Code, national road regulations as well as the instructions of the police, marshals and event officials while cycling.

j) Participants are NOT ALLOWED 

1. Ride without a bicycle helmet 

2. Ride dangerously or carelessly; 

3. Use a handheld camera or phone while riding.

4. Child seats on bicycles are not allowed. 

k) All riders must be behind the lead safety escort vehicle and in front of the rear safety escort vehicle at all times. 

l ) No personal/team support car & motorbike during the race.

m) The event will take place regardless of inclement weather and will only be cancelled, re-routed or stopped in extreme circumstances for safety reasons. The final decision on this matter rests with the Organizer. 

n) All cycling kits not picked up on the designated kit pick-up day will be available for pick-up for 5 working days during working hours at the Organizer's office. After that, unclaimed cycling kits will be disposed of and no further collections will be allowed. 


20. ELIGIBILITY OF PARTICIPANTS

a) All participants who successfully finish the cycle in their chosen category will be awarded a Finisher's Medal after showing their bike number to the staff at the finish line. 

b) All Finisher Medals will only be distributed on the day of the event. 

c) The timing device


21.SAFETY MEASURES 

a) Although appropriate measures will be taken by the Organizer to ensure the safety of the participants, the safety risk is the responsibility of the participants themselves. 

b) The Organizer shall not be responsible or liable for any injury or death whatsoever arising from training for or by participating in the Event.

c) Participants are strongly encouraged to consult their medical practitioner before registration and before the day of the Event. 

d) Competitors must wear the designated body number on the bottom of their cycling jersey. Participants found not wearing a body number will be asked to leave the cycle. 

e) All participants must check and service their bikes before the Event, and ensure that their bikes are safe to use before cycling. 

f) All Participants must always be aware of other participants around them. 

g) All Participants must stay on the left side of the road except when overtaking and are reminded to obey the rules of the road at all times. 

h) Cutting on the left is dangerous and NOT ALLOWED.

i) Participants must shout when passing other participants.


22.CYCLING SUPPORT VEHICLES

a) Organizers will provide cycling support vehicles to assist participants throughout the journey. 

b) Participants are not allowed to have their own vehicle support in the main peloton. 


23. EMERGENCIES & MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE 

a) Mobile mechanical services will also be provided to help participants' bicycles with problems while cycling and Medical Assistance will be provided throughout the Event. 

b) Participants MUST wear a bicycle number to be eligible to receive the assistance. 

c) Participants who need mechanical or medical assistance while on the route, can get help from cycling marshal, event marshal or traffic management staff. 

d) Medical personnel have the right to remove participants if they are found to be physically unable to continue cycling without the risk of serious injury to themselves or others.

e) The medical officer has the right to make an order to send the victim to the nearest and/or recommended hospital. 

f) The organizers suggest measures to reduce medical risks: 

i) Participants should drink plenty of fluids before, during and after cycling

ii) Participants who are over thirty-five (35) years old and who have not exercised regularly recently, strongly encouraged to undergo a health checkup before the Event; and 

iii) Conduct a proper training regime to prepare for the Event. 

g) All participants are covered under Personal Accident insurance 

i) This insurance coverage must start from the official start of the Event until the Event ends. 

ii) However, all riders are recommended to have their own personal accident insurance or health insurance. 


24. WEATHER POLICY 

a) The event will be held, rain or shine, unless the Organizer determines that the conditions are too dangerous. 

b) This will be based on a prudent decision made three (3) days before the day of the Event or on the day of the Event by the Organizer and local law enforcement officers. 

c) If the Event is canceled due to bad weather, there will be no refunds or transfers. 

d) In the event of bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, the Organizer reserves the right to change, cancel or eliminate any / all parts of the Event. 


25. EVENT WAIVER

In consideration of the Organizer's acceptance of this entry, and registration to participate in this Event, the rider hereby waives and waives any and all rights to claim damages that the participant may have against the Organizer for holding this Event, their agents, representatives, successors, assignees, sponsors for any and all injuries, deaths and damages that participants may suffer before, during or after the event takes place or arise as a result thereof. Participants hereby indemnify the Organizer and ensure that they indemnify and waive all claims or damages arising out of the above.
