1. Introduction
1.1 About Panas Cup 2025 (PC25)
Panas Cup 2025 is a pickleball tournament in Malaysia working towards promoting the sport's development, competitiveness, and entertainment value. More than 16 different categories have been offered for the Panas Cup campaign with more than RM55000+ prize pool.
1.2 Purpose of the Player Handbook
The Player Handbook serves as a guideline outlining the tournament's rules, expectations, and standards. It aims to create a fair and respectful playing environment while ensuring players understand their roles, responsibilities, and the broader vision of Panas Cup
2. Code of Conduct
2.1 General Behavior
Players are required to uphold the highest standards of conduct both on and off the court, embodying the values of PC25 with integrity and professionalism. This includes, abiding by the rules of the game and treating officials, opponents, and fans with respect. Any actions that tarnish the reputation of the league are strictly prohibited
2.2 Sportsmanship
Exemplifying good sportsmanship is essential to the ethos of PC25. Gestures such as handshakes or paddle taps before and after matches, recognizing opponents' achievements, and maintaining courtesy in competitive moments reflect the true spirit of the game.
2.3 Fair Play
Players must adhere to the rules and uphold the spirit of the game. Any form of cheating, unsportsmanlike behavior, or unfair play is strictly forbidden and may lead to disciplinary consequences or disqualifications.
2.4 Respect for Opponents, Officials, and Fans
Maintaining respectful interactions with opponents, PC25 officials, and fans is essential. Any form of disrespect, including verbal or physical abuse, taunting, or inappropriate gestures, is strictly prohibited. Adherence to the International Pickleball Federation (IPF) player standards is crucial to fostering a positive and sportsmanlike playing environment.
2.5 Anti-Discrimination and Harassment Policy
The PC25 is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where discrimination and harassment have no place. Players are expected to uphold player standards, ensuring fair and respectful treatment for all, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
2.6 Social Media Guidelines
As ambassadors of the sport and PC25, players are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism both online and offline. Social media activity should reflect this standard, and any derogatory or harmful remarks about PC25.
3. Registration and Player Eligibility
3.1 Registration
Players are allowed to register for as many categories as they would like; however, players are not allowed to register for the categories that clash with another category on the same time and day.
3.2 Player Eligibility
- Age Categories 19+ - Born 2006 and before
- Age Categories 35+ - Born 1990 and before
- Age Categories 50+ - Born 1975 and before
- Novice categories - Open to all ages born before 2011 and DUPR rating 2.500 and below
- 3.5 Categories - DUPR rating 3.500 and below
- Open - No minimum or maximum DUPR rating restriction
- Team Event
- Maximum of 8 Players Per team
- Each Team will need to have a minimum of 6 Players (2) Men’s 19+, (2) Men’s 35+ and (2) Women’s 19+
- Each Player is only allowed to Play twice in a tie
3.3 Registrations Fee
- Singles - RM117 / pax + 5% processing fee
- Doubles - RM234 / pair + 5% processing fee
- Team event - RM1116 / team + 5% processing fee
4. Team Event
4.1 Team Event Introduction
PC25 introduces the prestige team event categories for players competing in the individual events at PC25.
4.2 Team Event Ties
- Men’s Doubles 19+
- Women’s Doubles 19+
- Men’s Doubles 35+
- Mixed Doubles 19+
- Dream-breaker (Only if the tie is 2-2)
4.3 Dream-Breaker
4.3a Teams will need to play a singles shootout match rotating amongst players every (4) points.
4.3b Teams will need to list any 4 players from the team for the dream-breaker. The dream-breaker will need to consist a minimum of (1) female player.
4.4 Number of Players
Each Team will need to have a minimum of 6 Players in a team and a maximum of 8 players per team
4.5 Scoring Format
- Men’s Doubles 19+ - Rally 21 points
- Women’s Doubles 19+ - Rally 21 points
- Men’s Doubles 35+ - Rally 21 points
- Mixed Doubles 19+ - Rally 21 points
- Dream-breaker (Only if the tie is 2-2) - Rally 21 points
- Matches which reaches the score of 20-20 will be a serve to win.

4.6 Player Eligibility
Each player is only allowed to play (2) categories in each tie according to the age eligibility, please refer to section 3.2 Player eligibility for age restrictions.
4.7 Point Allocation System
Teams that win the game without going to the pick-breaker will be awarded two points, and teams that win with the Pick-breaker will be awarded one point.
*Total points won and lost from the pick-breaker will not be counted in the table standings.*
4.8 Determination of Group Standings

4.9 Submission of Line-up
Team captains must submit the match lineup to the tournament organisers 30 minutes before every match.

6. Tournament Scoring System
6.1 Match Format and Scoring
- For open and 3.5 categories:
- Round Robin to Quarter Finals - (1) Set of Traditional 0-0(2) scoring first to 11 (10-10 serve to win)
- Semi-Finals - (1) Set of Traditional 0-0(2) scoring first to 15 (14-14 serve to win)
- Finals - Best of (3) Sets of Traditional 0-0(2) scoring first to 11 (10-10 serve to win)
- For Novice Categories:

6.3 Timeouts
Each Team/Player will receive (1) timeout per set.
6.4 Determination of Group Standings
Group standings will be first, followed by

7. Refunds and Withdrawal
- Once registration has been successful no refunds will be made unless with valid reasons can appeal with organizing committee.
- Withdrawals should be notified to the organizing committee.
8. Punctuality
Players need to be punctual to their games. Any players who are not at the courts 10 minutes after player call has been done, the match will be regarded as a walkover.
9. Regulatory
Other rules and regulations should follow the updated USA-P 2025 Official Rulebook.

Q: What If My DUPR increases after i have registered
A: DUPR rating will be taken only at the point of registration, players will need to submit the DUPR Profile Rating during the registration
Q: Can I register for more than one category/event?
A: Yes, but you will not be allowed to register for events that clashes in the same time.
Q: Will all categories be played until the finals in one day?
A: Yes all categories will be finished in one day except for the team event.

A: Yes you are allowed to play other categories as long your DUPR rating does not exceed the category DUPR rating maximum

A: Players with no DUPR are allowed to join any categories, however you would need to have a DUPR ID
