For girls aged 8-14.

Less than 1% of girls study Computer Science. Let’s change that. Google’s Made with Code is a movement launched in June 2014 to inspire millions of girls to learn to code, and to help them apply their coding skills to their own individuals passions.

iTrain Kids, in collaboration with Google is returning with the Made with Code event! Join the team for a fun-filled day at the KL Google Headquarters, exploring technology and computer science. Let us inspire your daughter (or you!) to learn to code!

As the age of the Internet of Things comes about, more and more everyday items are coming online, from tweeting fridges to facebook posting weighing scales. In fact, even now, our lives are powered through code, whether it be the media we consume, or the street lights and toll booths we drive past daily. Code is in every part of our lives.

In school, we learn about the things around us. Now that we're surrounded by code, let's allow our children to learn about it! Even if they do not eventually become a programmer, coding principles are a part of all our lives. Having the next person know how to code is not enough. Just as it is now no longer acceptable to not know how to read, it will soon no longer be acceptable to not know how to code as we move towards the future.

4 pm - Explore Virtual Reality with Google Cardboard!
5 pm - See you again!

The event includes drinks, tidbits, and lunch.

Please bring along an Android Device (preferably Samsung S4 and above) for your child to test their code on the spot and also ensure your child has a valid email address.

Please note that the size of this event is limited to 20 pax.

Note: Due to the popularity of this event, we cannot guarantee that your child will be selected for the event. Participants will be selected at random. We will send out confirmation emails by the 16th of April 2016. If you do not receive a confirmation email, we apologize that we were unable to confirm your spot.
