Conserving Fort Alice- A talk by Ar. Mike Boon will be organized at Badan Warisan Malaysia - No. 2 Jalan Stonor, Kuala Lumpur on 30th July 2016 (Saturday).

The talk will centre on the current condition of conservation practice in Sarawak. Mike will focus on the Fort Alice (1864) project which entailed strong community engagement, to demonstrate attempts at increasing the public’s awareness and sensitivity to preserve their cultural heritage.

Mike Boon graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Western Australia in 1989, and has been practicing in Kuching since then. Following his involvement in the restoration of the Kuching Old Court House project in 2002, Mike has been actively promoting heritage conservation in Sarawak.
