Details

Run & Save the Cats 2016 is an event to raise funds for S.I. Shelter Home in Shah Alam, Selangor. This shelter currently houses over 600 cats and 12 dogs. It is an independent shelter run by Razeef and his wife and four staff members. With that many cats, they sure need some help!

This event is organized by Limitless HQ Services to raise awareness of the needs of this shelter and stray cats in general.

Event Details

The main attraction at the event is a virtual run for both men and women. The Fun Run is for young children accompanied by parents or guardians.

The date and time is as follows:

Date: 24 December 2016

Time: 6.00 a.m. to 12 noon


Running kits will be handed out together with the bibs and wristbands on 23rd December 2016 at Monumen Alaf Baru, Presint 2, Putrajaya from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. You have to collect it personally. If you don’t, well, you cannot participate in the virtual run.

For those who participate in the 6km virtual run, you are guaranteed to get a certificate of participation and a medal if you complete the race before 11 a.m. on 24 December 2016. Please send your proof through the running apps, Garmin photos, Fitbit and VivoSmart data to [email protected] with the subject of VIRTUAL RUN 6KM.

The first, second, and third prize will be announced by the judges and it will be final.

The prizes go like this: RM 500 / RM 300 / RM 150 (Cash + Hamper + Trophy) for the winners!

And if you register, you will get an official Microdry Adult Unisex T-shirt.

And if you are new to virtual run, it is a run at your own pace and choice! It can be at your own treadmill or around your place of residence or even at the local park. You take photos of yourself running or through mobile apps such as Garmin, to show proof of your time. You can even walk the last 2 km if you get tired. It is a good way of training and giving to charities.

For those who are not taking part in the virtual run, you can offer your support by cheering your parents, friends, and/or buddies. You can look at the cats and adopt one or maybe two! Bring a camera to join the competition for the best selfie with the cats or take part in a competition to guess the cat’s weight. At the event, you can also purchase a stuffed mini cat as well.

How to enter Virtual Run and its T&C?

1.Buy the virtual run ticket (6km)

2.Complete the race before 11.00 a.m., 24th December 2016
3.Send the prove (running apps, Garmin photos, Fitbit and VivoSmart data etc.), your timing, together with your picture to us at [email protected] with the subject of VIRTUAL RUN 6KM
4.This challenge is strictly limited to 500 participants.
5.Your running kits and finisher items will be posted within 14 working days after 24th December 2016

Eligibility:

i. This competition is open to all Malaysian and expatriates who has Malaysian working permit and his/her immediate family members.
ii. The 6KM is open to participant of age 16 and above.
iii. The 3KM challenge is open to participants of age 3 and above (kids must be supervised by registered parent/s)

*Total amount of prize equal to RM500, RM300, RM150 (Cash + Hamper + Trophy)

•Any online registration without online payment is invalid. Therefore, please ensure to pay online when you register online.
•Substitution and changing of categories are NOT allowed. Otherwise you must re-register.
•No refund will be made for wrong registration.
•We only accept online payment via E-banking, Credit Card, and Debit Card

Corporate Registration: (RM2500 per group)

Maximum 25pax per group. After registration, we will send the group registration form to fill in. Everybody have to be at the finish line together to consider as winner.

-A form of sponsorship will be given.

-Your company logo will be put on out event banner.



Running kits & advantages upon registration:

•There will be NO distribution of kits on race day.

•Special arrangement will cost RM10 – RM50 depends on type of arrangement.

•Those who opt for shipping organizer will not responsible for the shipping delay of running kits.
•Change of t-shirt size and running number is not allowed!

•All participants must wear running bibs, wristbands as well as event t-shirt. Failure to do so will cause the participants to be disqualified. No kits, no run basis. No refund will be issued.
•Running kits can be collected on 23rd December 2016 at Monumen Alaf Baru, Presint 2, Putrajaya from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

•Please take note that after 10 p.m., 23rd December 2016, all the uncollected race kits will be deemed as unwanted and therefore become the property of the organizers. The organizers reserves the right to dispose or redistribute the race kits in any manner deemed appropriate.

Kindly claim your pre-run snacks by bringing the coupon provided at the pre-run snacks counter from 6.00 – 7.00 a.m. No pre-run snacks will be provided after 7.00 a.m.

 

Result:
The results of each category verified by professional judges and their decision is final.

Certificates, medal, goodies bags, post-run breakfast will be distributed at the finish line (medal counter). No claims will be entertained thereafter.

Prize:
Finisher Medals will be given at the podium. 30 minutes after the race. No claims will be entertained thereafter. Winner must present with their running bibs number and running tee.
Registration Closing Date:
5th December 2016 or upon reaching the maximum participants.


Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the organizers to ensure the participants safety, participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual race day.

To those who are allergy to cats/have asthma/eczema or other related medical condition, kindly do not touch the cats during this event.

The organizers reserve the right to change the date and venue without prior notice. The announcement will be made afterwards

The organizers reserve the right to delay the commencement of the race in the event of heavy rain or thunder storm or extreme weather condition. Should the heavy rain, thunder storm or extreme weather condition persist after delay, the organizers reserve the right to cancel the race without any refund. In the event of heavy rain or thunder storm or catastrophic or natural disaster resulting in a postponement or cancellation of the above event, the organizers shall not be held responsible for any claims whatsoever in any form made by any individual or parties concerned.

The organizers reserve the right to use any photograph (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the event taken before, during and after the event, for any legitimate purpose including commercial advertising and distribution to sponsors.
