ZLG Events: Awakening will be organized at d7 @ Sentul East on 21st October 2016 (Friday).

There has been critical mass of philosophical query on our global issues, vis-a-vis cultural and social agendas. Our experience gained through our lives inspires the rethinking of our perceived wisdom, as individuals and also as communities. Through zlgevents, we seek an awakening and relook at the roots of our humanity and our dealings with recent ecology. 

The main themes of the event will be sustainability, irresponsible deforestation, destruction of indigenous people and their cultures and locus standi of a disappearing people. One main highlight is the House Vision book launch by Lee Jia Ping from Think City and Taylor’s University, put together and organized by Hafiz Amirrol from Extraurban Design. We will feature the usual zlgevent readings amongst others by Dr. Susan Mellersch – Lucas who will share on the books that inspire them. A film will be screened in the D7 courtyard by Ian Davies from Kad Film to align with these themes. Finally we will be featuring Ronnie Khoo from Ohsum Mossum Terrariums who will give a talk about ecology and terrariums, and showcasing student drawings and exhibits and also handing out reading materials you can take home.
