OVERVIEW

1. This category is open to contestants age 12 and below.
2. Contestants are required to play a piece of music not exceeding 3 minutes.
3. Contestants have to make video submission for this competition.
4. Only selected contestant will proceed to compete with international contestant which take place in Ipoh.
5. Video submissions are for Malaysian and Singaporean ONLY.

REGISTRATION
- Registration Fee is non- refundable. Incomplete applications including failure to pay fees will result in disqualification.
- Registration fee is Rm 180.00 (inclusive of T-shirt, certificate, FOC workshop and complementary ticket to the finals)

- National Round: 26 August 2017 at Dewan Budaya, Ipoh

- International Round: 02-04 October 2017 at Hotel Casuarina @ Meru, Ipoh.

CATEGORIES – VIDEO SUBMISSIONS FOR SELECTIONS
JUNIOR CATEGORY - Age 12 and below, one piece, not exceeding 3 minutes
INTERMEDIATE CATEGORY - Age 13 to 18, one piece, not exceeding 4 minutes
OPEN CATEGORY - Age 19 to 28, one piece, not exceeding 5 minutes

REPERTOIRE
- Repertoire for Selection and Preliminary Round could be selected from Baroque, Romantic, Modern to Jazz.

COMPETITION REGULATIONS
- Videos are to be sent online as YouTube (URL link) via email to [email protected] by mentioning e-ticket number and contestant full name.
- Videos should be taken without interruption during the performance, studio enhanced, modified or edited recordings.
- Participants are required to show respect to all other participants, members of Jury Panel, hosts and organizers
- The order of the participants will be in random order determined by the draw.
- Any Audio/Video recording of the performances during the competition is strictly forbidden.

- Selected/Non-Selected participants must be present to collect their free items at our set up counter in Meru Casuarina Hotel, Otherwise the Free items shall be forfeited without compensation.
- The organizer reserves the right to produce, broadcast, disseminate and publish the audio and video images taken at any time during the competition. The copyrights for all material created, produced or obtained during the competition shall be the property of the organizers.
- Participants are not permitted to have contact with any Jury member during the time of their participations in the competition. Failure to observe this rule may lead to disqualification of the competition.
- The organizer reserves all rights to change any rules and regulations without prior notice.
- The organizer reserves the right to reschedule the competition in the case of an unforeseen emergency.
- Participants are required to participate in all media events for the competition organized by the organizers without remunerate. Unjustified absence from attending these events shall result in withdrawal of prize or disqualification.
- Participants are responsible for own valuables and belongings. The organizer shall not be responsible for any lost, stolen and damages during the competition.
.- Keep all food and beverages free from competition venue.
- Abide by all rules and regulations.

PRACTICE ROOM (UPRIGHT PIANO)
- First-come-first-serve booking of Practice Rooms available for participants at the hotel with a limited time on each day.

WARM UP ROOM (UPRIGHT PIANO)
- Each participant is allowed 15 minutes of warm-up time before proceeding to the competition hall.

DRESS CODE
- Formal Attire is required. Males are required to wear suit and black shoes. Females are required to wear dress/ gown and black shoes.
- Strictly no jeans, shorts, t-shirts, open-toe shoes, sports shoes, sneakers etc.

JURY

• All competitions are judged by the Jury Panel. 
• The Jury Panel's decision will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained. 
• The Jury shall assess contestant's interpretative and pianistic skills such as stylistic competency.

Age of contestants for each category will be according to the year of birth. Ensure that the contestant is aware of one’s intent to participate.
