KL2017: TICKETS TO GO ON SALE AFTER AIDILFITRI CELEBRATION
TICKETS for the 29th SEA Games Kuala Lumpur 2017, including for the official opening and closing ceremonies, will go on sale after Hari Raya celebration this month, Malaysia Organising Committee (MASOC) said on Monday (5 June 2017).
MASOC confirmed that tickets for selected sports will be sold via online, which its Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Seri Zolkples Embong said will be affordable to the public.
Among the sports which require tickets include some of the popular sports such as swimming, diving, synchronised swimming, football and selected indoor and combat sports. This is due to the limited number of seats available at indoor venues such as the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) which will host combat sports such as karate, wushu and silat.
“MASOC has decided that we need to charge spectators for some of the indoor sports due to the limited number of seats at venues like KLCC,” said Dato’ Seri Zolkples.
Tickets will be on sale via online for the official opening and closing ceremonies on 19 August and 30th August respectively, scheduled at the newly-upgraded Bukit Jalil National Stadium which is expected to draw more than 70,000 spectators.
