Terms and Conditions for the use of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service

Scope of Application

  1. These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to and regulate your use of the Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service provided by Ticket2U Sdn Bhd (Malaysia), Cloudhax Sdn Bhd (Malaysia), Ticket2U Pte Ltd (Singapore) (Ticket2U" or T2U and shall be legally binding on users and us. Both users and we shall comply with the Terms
  2. Before register to use Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service, the user shall carefully read the Terms and fully understand relevant provisions hereof, and the user shall have the right to require us to provide sufficient explanation about the Terms. By undergoing the registration process to use Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service, you accept and agree to these Terms.

Identity Verification

  1. You acknowledge that the authentication is performed by the event organiser or Ticket2U during the event check-in by interfacing with the face authentication module on the permitted check-in counters, authorised personnel, devices and that you agree to the authentication process.
  2. You acknowledge and agree that, for the purposes of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service, the event check-in process will be accessing the face registered by you, and you hereby consent to the event organiser and Ticket2U in accessing and using such information for the provision of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service.

Security Guarantee

  1. You shall ensure that only your own faces are register to the event and you understand that upon the successful registration of your face can be used to access your ticket information registered to the event.
  2. If you inform us that the security of your face or other security code has been leaked, please contact our Customer Service immediately. We may require you, and you agree upon our request, to change your ticket information, re-register your face or cease the use of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service.

Risk Warning and Liability Provisions

  1. We do not represent or warrant that Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service will be accessible at all times, or function with any electronic equipment, software, infrastructure or other services that we may offer from time to time.
  2. Unless a law prohibits us from excluding or limiting our liability, we are not liable for any loss you incur in connection with the use or attempted use of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service, or your instructions, or any unauthorised acess through or in connection with Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service.
  3. You agree to undertake any direct or indirect claims, legal procedures, legal liabilities, loses, damages arising from our actions in accordance with your orders or notices and all expenses (including all legal costs) which are of reasonable amount whatsoever and howsoever caused that may arise to be reasonably incurred by us in providing Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service to you. And you promise to indemnify us, upon our request, for the losses and expenses that we have suffered.
  4. You should not use Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service if you have an identical twin sibling, in which case you are recommended to use Ticket2U Check-In Service with E-Ticket for event check-in process;
  5. You should not use Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service if you are an adolescence while your facial features may be undergoing a rapid stage of development, surgery, in which case you are recommended to use Ticket2U Check-In Service with E-Ticket for event check-in process;

How Long We Retain Your Facial Data?

We do not retain your facial data longer than necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service. However, your facial data will be automatically remove with conditions below:

  • Facial Photo Finder: 120 days
  • Facial Check-In (Entrance / Gate Captured): 120 days
  • Safety Briefing: 120 days
  • Facial Registration (Binded on Ticket): 180 days
  • Annual Pass (Associated with Annual Pass Usages): 365 days

Miscellaneous

  1. Unless otherwise specified herein, we may suspend, or at any time and from time to time, amend the Terms and/or add new clauses. Termination, or any amendment of and/or any addition to the Terms shall become effective as of the designated date after we provide reasonable notice/announcement to users. If users refuse to accept relevant amendment and/or addition, they may give written notices to us to apply for termination of all/part of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service pursuant to relevant procedures (if any) of us. If users do not explicitly require us to terminate all/part of Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service and continue to retain or use these Services ON OR AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF SUCH AMENDMENT AND/OR ADDITION, SUCH AMENDMENT AND/OR ADDITION SHALL BECOME BINDING UPON USERS.
  2. Ticket2U Facial Recognition Service is provided as part of the event check-in services, The Terms shall serve as supplementary terms to our website General Terms, in case the Terms conflict in any way with our General Terms. Our General Terms may be accessed at [https://www.ticket2u.com.my/general-terms];
  3. The Terms are amended and published on our official website www.ticket2u.com.my and www.ticket2u.com.sg in February 2021, and the Terms, as amended, will take effect as of 26th , February 2021. As of the date of effectiveness, unless otherwise notified by us, the Terms will supersede all previous terms (if any) in respect of these Services.
